Our education and learning programmes deliver a high level of learning to students, engaging them in creative projects that they design, create and deliver, based on the subjects they are learning at school. We work closely with schools to identify the criteria for projects and develop a program that is engaging, exciting and educational for the young people. At the end of the project the students and young people leave with first hand experience into the media industry.
Corporate Social Responsibility
One of the most rewarding ways for a business to give back to the community is to invest in the people of tomorrow. We help businesses deliver their corporate social responsibility by building a bespoke programme that can be delivered into local schools. We run filming projects that get the young people involved in all aspects of film-making and they get to make a programme about the things that matter most to them.
Education Learning Resources
We are now developing education and learning resources with our education partners that can be used in the classroom by teachers. Using digital media to create books, smartboard interactivity and DVD packs, the resources are aimed for use inside the curriculum as a support to the subjects young people learn in the classroom. Some examples of resources we have created are below (click on image to view pack contents).
Burley Tereli Friendship Trust
We designed an educational resources pack for the BTFT and their link with Mali, Africa. The pack was designed to provide information on life in Mali and included activity sheets and information sheets for use on smartboard. The pack also included 5 books each taking a subject and providing information for the pack. A DVD video was also created to support the pack and show students real footage of life in Mali.
We designed an award winning educational pack on the subject of Homelessness and how it affected young people in Bradford. The pack won the top award at the Northern Silver Screen Awards 2011. It included a DVD documentary interviewing homeless and roofless young people and is used to support the pack information.
